• Possess Ten years of teaching experience & 20 years of Research Experience.
• Worked in various capacity as Sr. Lecturer, Assistant Professor (SG), Associate Professor, Professor, Head of the Department and Dean of School. Currently working as Dean, Academic Affairs in addition to Registrar-Incharge.
• Lecture Courses handled includes Design of Steel Structures, Design of Bridges, Experimental Techniques and Model Analysis, Concrete Technology, Repair & Rehabilitation of Structures, Corrosion of Steel in Concrete, Construction Practices & Techniques etc.
• Served in Industry for more than 15 years in various positions such as Field Engineer, Senior Engineer, Technical Manager, Senior Consulting Engineer etc.
• Involved in the implementation of Corrosion control techniques in various projects throughout India including Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
• Actively involved in the development of new materials for corrosion control and related research.

Research and Publications

• Areas of Research Interest includes Development of Anticorrosive Coating System and Inhibitor for Corrosion Control of Steel Rebars used in Concrete, Rust Convertor for Rehabilitation of Corroded Steel Structures, Development of Durable Ferrocement Roof Panels for Use in Secondary Roofing, Influence of Surface Configuration and Modification on Bond Strength and Flexural Behaviour of RCC Elements, Polymer Modified Mortar / Concrete for Repair and Rehabilitation works etc.
• Guided 63 M.Tech. Dissertations and 2 M.S. (By Research) thesis in Structural Engineering and Construction Engineering & Management area. Currently guiding 8 Ph.D. scholars.
• Serving as Doctoral Committee Member for Research Scholars of various Universities such as Anna University, VIT, SRM, Hindustan and Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology etc.
• Published more than 50 research articles in International Journal, National Journal, International Conference and National Conference etc.

Testing & Consultancy Activities

• Executed Testing & validation of Construction Materials, Concrete Mix Design for various applications, Design mix for macadam roads, Testing of rock samples, Testing of concrete specimens for strength assessment etc.
• Consultancy works handled includes repair & rehabilitation strategies for distressed buildings such as high rise buildings, School buildings, Monumental structures like Temples and Mosques; Waterproofing strategies for leaky terrace slabs and other building components, Strength assessment of existing RCC elements using NDT Techniques etc.
• Consultant for Repair and Rehabilitation of Distressed RCC Structures & Waterproofing of Structural Elements.
• Issued more than 300 test and consultancy reports to various government, semi-government and private agencies.

• Has undergone 3 Months Training in VLSI Design and Obtained PG diploma in VLSI Design from Accel technologies, Chennai during the Year 2002.
• Published 20 Research papers in Peer reviewed, International journals.
• Presented about 20 Research papers in National and International conferences.
• Supervisor for 7 Ph.D. research scholars and guided 8 M.Tech. Project work in the area of VLSI and embedded system.
