Activities and highlights of IEEE student branch of B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology for the academic year 2015-16 and 2016-17:

• IEEE students chapter of B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology has 142 student members in the year 2015-16 and 133 student members in 2016-17.
• IEEE students chapter of B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology received a certificate of appreciation, cash prize and memento from IEEE Madras section for being 2nd largest student branch of IEEE Madras section with 277 members as on 31st Dec 2016.
• Organised guest lecture on “Smart grid and digital substations” by Mohamed Farook, SAS, MECA Business development Director-Alsthom on 20th August 2015 at B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology.
• Organised a technical lecture on “Power System Network Laboratory” by Mr.Ganesh Moorthy and Albert, Newton technologies on 29th August 2015 at Seminar Hall, Department of EEE, B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology.
• Organised a technical talk on “Smart Grid Lab” by Skandan, VI Micro systems on 3rd September 2015 at Seminar Hall, Department of EEE, B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology..

• Organised a one day workshop on “Scientific Documentation and presentation using Latex and Beamer “on 17th June 2016 at UG Computer Lab, EEE Dept,B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology.
• IEEE National conference on “Recent trends in VLSI, Information and Communication (NCRVIC-2016) was organized in association with IEEE and ECE dept. of B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology on 11th August 2016.
• Organised a guest lecture on “Fabrication of special PCBs and Innovation ” by Mr.Tameem Saied,Director, FORTRAN CIRKIT ELECTRONICS PVT LTD on 3rd October 2016 at Seminar Hall, Department of EEE, B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology.
• IEEE workshop on “Business Model Canvas and Social Entrepreneurship” was organized in association with Entrepreneurship Cell ofB.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology and IEEE on 9th March2017 .
• IEEE National conference on “Recent trends in Information technology (NCRTIT-2017) was organized in association with IEEE and IT dept. of B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science & Technology on 5th and 6th April 2017.
• Applied two project abstracts titled “Portable Body Mass indicator” and Automation of Washing machine using Programmable Logic Controller” for IEEE MAS Student project funding for the academic year 2016-17.
